Camp Out for Cancer - Local Funds for Local Cancer Needs

Camp Out for Cancer is an inspiring community event presented each Fall by the Amador STARS. Teams build a "tent city" and take turns hiking for 21 hours to raise funds and awareness for local cancer patients, survivors, and their families. The event brings together people of all ages for fun, fellowship, food and entertainment by local musicians. Honor those who have battled cancer at our Survivor Celebration. Dedicate an illumination candle to someone who has been touched by cancer. Join a team and spread a message of hope...that together, we can eliminate cancer!

The 8th Annual Camp Out for Cancer was Sept. 10, 2011 at the Plymouth Fairgrounds! The event theme was "Dancing with the Steers - Rockin' Out Cancer". This year's event raised over $83,000 for local cancer needs.
